This is a fairly good belaying device. It doesn't feed rope as smoothly as the Petzl Reverso 3, but it's very close and a lot cheaper. You can do abseiling with it, too, but you can't belay seconding climbers with it. It doesn't wear off, even if used a lot, and it doesn't get too hot either.
It's got a very good value-for-money-ratio.
