We are excited to add the Boreal Kintaro to our collection of aggressive, down-turned shoes. This shoe is fairly soft and flexible, and should be popular with boulderers, particularly those who like steep overhanging problems. The Kintaro has a few new features to boast about, not least of which is the new Zenith rubber. There has been quite a lot of hype about this since some videos popped up on the internet recently. Yuji Hirayama will give you a personal demonstration of just how sticky this stuff is at the following link: http://vimeo.com/26642474 Although you would expect the sticky nature of this rubber to have a negative impact of durability, Boreal suggest that they expect it to be on a par with their Itailian rivals. Another nice feature is the new V2 Rand. Boreal have introduced a rubber strip between the upper heel and midsole which pulls the heel inwards resulting in a snugger fit. The Kintaro has extra wide velcro straps which have been designed such that the shoe remains tight right down the length of your foot. Other Features: - Special anti-deformation midsole with anatomic cutaway
- High quality split leather with padded mesh tongue
- Outsole thickness: 5 to 5.5mm depending on shoe size
- Size 6: 488g
