Submited By: Ben Russell on 14/02/2012 This rope bag ticked all the features, for what I was looking for in a bag. I needed a bag that could fit my 60 meter sterling velocity rope in. It swallowed it up plus a helmet and and over bits.
My only con is the back straps are not detachable, as it said in the summary. Which is confusing. On the Edelrid website It said the same thing. It must be a prototype version that I have or a technical/practical mistake! Oh well it make no difference.
Pro's
Ultralight.
Durable.
Good size tarp 120cm x 120cm.
Very contactable
Easy to roll rope up.
Can hold other Items like a Harness, chalk bag, tape and water
Con's
Back straps are not detachable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can be quite uncomfortable with long approaches to the crag
The color and design are not great. Look at it!!!!
It's a great bag. And will hopefully serve me well on my next 7b or 7c route.
P.s. If you want a bag that does near enough the same but looks better and has no back strap, go for the Black Diamond super chute or the Arc'teryx peli.
