The Evolv Iceman is slightly smaller than the Maverick pad but with open dimensions of 32 x 42 x 4" this should be up to handling most problems and falls that come its way. The rubberised corners act as a closure system that keeps your belongings inside the pad but also prevent the pad from moving about when on the ground. The Evolv Iceman has a continuous 1" top layer of foam that prevents soft spots in your landing and this is also backed up by velcro opeing straps to eliminate dead space in the hinge.
