The Evolv Optimus Prime Climbing Shoe is the fourth installment in the Sharma Signature Series of shoes. Designed on a downcamberd last, the Optimus Prime has a deeper fitting heel and much stiffer heel cup than the Optimus.

Designed on a completely different last than any other climbing shoes, the Optimus Prime offers a symetric toe box (rounded toe box). It also has Trax oval grid rubber covering the top of the shoe for added protection, improved toe hooking and high friction response at any angle. A hook-and-loop fastener ensures the shoe maintains it's shape for a tight fit.

The Evolv Optimus Prime is ideal for steep sport, bouldering and competition climbing.

Please Note: The Optimus Prime is a climbing shoe and not a Transformer.

Sizing Guide: I have just spent a while trying these badboys on and so will attempt to give a brief guide to sizing them. I am a size 10uk in trainers and wear 8.5uk in Anasazis, 5x and Jet7's. I reckon i would go for a 9.5uk in these but am not sure how much they stretch. A safe bet would be to go for the same size as your trainers, however if you know you like your shoes tight, or loose, you could try going half a size either way of this.

Evolv Optimus Prime Reviews

Brought a pair of these after wearing a hole in the toes of my Pontas' after three months. Brought them in the same size as my Pontas' (which fit well) as they felt comfy in the shop. Five minutes of climbing however and they hurt like hell! I now reserve them for routes where I need incredible precision (find them to be brilliant on slate). On the plus sixe this means they're lasting well, which they might'nt do if they saw regular use. A great shoe, but sized differently to the Pontas' and they don't stretch.

Really have been excellent shoes for the last 6 months, but like the last two reviewers I have now got a hole on one of the shoes where the big toe. Great fit and comfort, but horrendous smell off these bad boys.

rubber is super sticky but as a result super soft. felt awsome for first 3 months but as per previous review I too experienced super fast wear.and is one of the first shoes where a hole appeared before the smell of them was unbearable.

Positive: Comfortable as climbing shoes can be! Great for edging, hooking. Negative: A hole appeared in the big toe area very quickly!

Rating: 4 of 5 Stars!
