Five-Ten Anasazi Blanco (Lace-up V2) £95.00

these are my cheat shoes. brilliant edging, powerful toe, powerful heel and can stand on anything. the smearing is getting better now the shoe has broken in. i can still only wear them for 30 mins max so was taking them off when belaying on multi-pitch routes. Pain wise i am finding this shoe painful when jamming my foot in cracks across the toes knuckles. These were really hard to get on at first due to the high back heel but have relaxed enough to be easy to get on and off. im actually wearing these in my street size which is unheard of and for me. after 2 months of use both indoors and outside on limestone they are holding out well. For me these aren't as comfortable off the shelf as the 'verde' but the stiff sole provides so much more power so i choose these as thats what i was after. very tempted to get verdes also for my everything else shoe but i love this 'blanco' and will be getting them resoled when the time comes and fully anticipate these being the shoe for me for at least the next 2 pairs. The comfort of the verdes with the power of the blancos v2 would be the perfect show for me Oh and these shoes are stylish man!

Amazing shoe. Been climbing for approx 15+ years and this is the first shoe I have found that fits perfectly! Normally I buy between a size 7.5 and 8 but got these in an 8.5 and they are great. I have quite narrow feet but I find these super comfy. Great for heel hooking and edging but also quite good at smearing. Not ideal on the really steep stuff but they are good for everthing else. The only down side is that the rubber has started to come away from the white fabric around the toes and at the side after approx 5 months of use which is not what I would expect from 5.10 or any boot that is all but the best part of £100!

Excellent front end -awful heel. I have used 5.10 for years and loved my pinks, but if you value your achiles tendon you really need to wear these and walk around in them a bit before you buy them. I have seriously been thinking about cutting a notch in the rubber at the back of the heel. Ruined a perfectly good boot for me.

These shoes can stand on anything!!! Amazing. After about 10 minutes to get them on, they fit like a dream. The toe area is somehow comfortable (and i get them super tight), but the back presses on my achelees tendon really hard, and so can not wear them for longer than 15 mins. I am told this eases off with use. This shoe is responsible for my climbing grade increasing from E5 to E7 slabs.

Seeking high performance and not keen on down-turned boots? These are great, I got them tight and crank hard in them because there is no worries about your foot popping off or slipping. The C4 rubber is hard and sticky. They're not painful either really, which helps a good trad onsight. My only criticism is having to walk down hill (descent) it's agony if they are tight. - The 'wide toe build/narrow heel cup' design means the fitting doesn't suit everyone. From experience dropping half a trainer size is a snug fit.

The V2 are a must for an enthusiastic Trad climber with superb edging capabilities due to the amazing stiffness of the stealth rubber, without compramising the comfort of the shoe. Since i bought these shoes two years ago I have used them for every trad route I have done due to their comfort when worn for a long period of time, and I have even resorted to using them for hard slab boulder problems in and outdoors as they are the only thing that can get me up a Northumberland slab. In terms of fit I have found that you have to aim for close to your normal shoe size, normally i'm a 9 or 9.5 in any climbing shoe but i'm a 10 in these as they are a tight fit and due to their stiffness will not get any better, so makes sure their comfortable when you buy them. If I was to pick one falt with them I would say that the heels take a bit of getting used to as they pinch a bit to start with and arn't the best for heelhooking.
