The world’s best precision climbing shoe has gotten even better, by adding a state-of-the-art heel, nicknamed “magic fingers” for its phenomenal gripping qualities, both fit and comfort have been improved. Any potential dead space is gone, and both precision and power are increased. Five-Ten have also used Onyxx, the highest friction, most durable climbing rubber in the universe.

One of the best shoes for granitecracks! I have 2 pairs in different sizes. This shoes are really good for wide feet.

Have been using these shoes for 4 months now and fit is really great, plus they're so versatile (bouldering and trad climbing). Also I like the sensitivity, I'm a big fan of footwork. Only down side is the rubber has started to peel away at the sides, doesn't effect the performance of the shoe but just looks a bit poor. I have tried a bit of evostisk but it hasn't held. My last pair of five tens did this so next time i might be tempted by a pair of la sportives......

These shoes lasted me around 7 months (climbing twice a week at my local indoor walls) before an ever increasing hole began to appear in the rubber sole......seeing as the shoes are sold on the durability of the rubber that just seems pretty poor. Added to this i could just never trust the 'magic finger' heels, and consequently always chickened out of heeling when i was leading. Having said that the shoes rubber, and sole design gave me a lot of confidence climbing slabs and when edging.........overall though i wouldn't purchase another pair.

Ok, the Verde... I'll start with the fit. This is a nicely snug shoe (I got them in my 'street size' - size 9) The toe box at this size is tight without being painful while the heel is just perfect, I like a bit of heel hooking and I can say magic fingers is about right. The super duper stealth oynx rubber is a bit of bumf if I'm honest. Doubt very much if the rubber on climbing boots is any better or worse from one pair to the next. I'll say it's no worse than others I've worn. In terms of performance this is a mighty nice shoe. Good indoors and out, strong on tiny itty edges and generally a pleasure to climb in. Overall - for the dosh I don't think you could do much better, high all round performance and a decent price and it looks nice too. Doesn't beat a pair of stilts though....

Item was a present but they were considered brilliant and replaced a well worn out pair! Excellent service and efficiency from BananaFingers, wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

These shoes are the awsome. its like climbing with glue on your feet. I love them and the guys at BF were very accomodating with me as I tried a couple of pairs of La Sportiva Miuras before opting for the Verdes.

I bought the shoes as a bday present for my boyfriend, the broke within two week :( He has contacted banana fingers but been told that the shoes have to be sent away. I think that for the money they should have lasted more than two weeks

The design of the shoe is brilliant! I found the rubber to be very sticky while i was climbing out in Spain and that i could stand on the tiniest footholds which i wouldn't even have thought possible! I have found that the shoe can heel hook very well. The shoe performs well on indoor walls as well. I did however find that the shoes pull handles where not up to the standard of quality i expected from such a well known brand as they started to pull apart from the seams. Overall i would say that the shoe is very good for sport climbing and bouldering and that i would recommend it to someone else but with a cautious word on pull handles.

Im now currently wearing in my 4th pair of 'verdes', i can't think of any other shoe i'd consider wearing on gritstone. They work great straight out of the box, the onyxx rubber gives excellent friction and this only improves the more they are worn in. Sizing - Im a freek with massive size 14 feet, i started in a pair of size 13 anasazis and then decided to go for a pair of 12's, which fit perfectly. The uppers dont so much stretch as they do mould to the shape of your foot, which means i can stay in these for more than three hours at a time without my feet cramping at all - happy times! However, all feet are different so i'd advise trying these shoes on in a different shop before getting back on the computer and giving these lovely people your money instead ;) If you have wide feet i would suggest trying the velcro's instead, although when your feet get really sweaty and you are using your heel, the heel tends to come away from your foot - this has not yet happened to me with the verde. Also if you are looking for a shoe for steep limestone sport (i.e the snore) choose the whites instead.
