They've actually made me a better boulderer, or maybe that's the extra hours I've been putting in. Either way they are comfy, bit tight in the toes but that's how I like them! I say 'now' because at first they just weren't that sticky and I started to regret not getting another pair of Anazasis. However, a couple of weeks ago they started to really stick and now I'm able to do problems in these that I struggle with in my battered 5.10s. I like the slight downturn and the edging capability; and the stickiness - now that they've worn in - is top. Great fit too: I love the heel, which is way better than the Anasazi. They have stretched a tiny bit mind so would probably go for 39 next time (I'm size 42 street shoe, by the way). I have wide feet and these shoes feel very comfortable. The edges are really good as is the heel. The rubber is very sticky too. Have since worn them quite a few times, great grip, tight toe control, very happy with them. Great service from BananaFingers, shoes came tighter than the ones I'd tried, but had no problem in exchanging for a half size bigger, cheers! These are my day to day climbing shoes and are great , They take a hammering week in week out and havnt let me down yet ! Edges still feel like new ( a few months in ) and the shoes are not showing any signs of giving up for a long time ! I tried a lot of shoes before I found these and when my pair wear out I'll be ordering the same again ! You won't be dissapointed with the katanas !
