The La Sportiva Miura holds an 'all-around' solution to the extreme requirements of modern climbing: friction, sensitivity, precision on edges and comfortable fit. The point of the "Miura" is derived from the "Mirage" and is very aggressive and extremely effective on small foot holds, pockets, and in cracks.

The first thing I thought when I placed these majestic beasts around my feet was 'my god' and I fell in love ever since. They're jsut about great for everything boulderings, sport or trad, through grit, limestone, slabs and overhangs. Never have shoes made a mediocre climber feel so damn good. Love of my life.

Awesome shoe. I had boreals and madrock shoes but then i went La Sportiva. Never want any other shoes again. I have katana's and a pair of Miuara's with laces which are my absolute favourite. these shoes are technical yet very comfortable. I mainly boulder, so i got a rather tight fit (45 eu street, 43 in miura's) but after some slight pains they broke in and now they are just fantastic.

Probably the only shoe I'll be using from now on. Street size 11, Miura 10. I wanted a more comfortable fit and was spot on with them. Could have gone down another half size and still been super comfy. When my technical shoes have had their day I'll be picking these up in a 9 so downsize 1 for comfort and 2 for a nice tight fit. The fast lace feature rocks and the rubber sticks very nicely. Relatively stiff and not too sensitive I find these shoes are perfect for me. Can't rate them highly enough. Get em.

Bought these as a replacement for some Evolv Optimus Primes. Having used these shoes for about 3 months now I have to say I'm very happy with them. The rubber is super grippy for smears, the edges hard wearing and the shoe nice and stiff. And best of all, they haven't started smelling too bad!

THE BEST SHOE I HAVE EVER PUT ON MY FEET! I'm now on my third pair and from the second the right size went on....perfect. The sizing is the only thing I had issue's with (street 10, miura 7.5) but once broken in....well like I said PERFECT. Tech grit slabs, steep limestone cracks, multi pitch trad, sport climbing, route setting at work...I use these, the only thing I don't use them for is bouldering BUT then I DON'T BOULDER!!!

I've had these pair before and I find them amazing both in an outdoors.like the short laces and the the little airpockets where my toes and heel can slide into when putting more pressure on.overall it was a great purchase and will do it again once these die:)

I own both the laced version and the velcro and honestly think that the laced version is superior. The fit pushes the precision of the shoe into the big toe and enables the climber to stand on tiny holds. The shoe is also versatile enough to allow you to smear and trust your feet on the smoothest of slabs. I don't trust me feet in the VS Miuras. I do find that the fit of the heal in both models a bit loose with space around the heal and ankle, but I find that across all shoes and would probably find the women's version of the miura a better fit in this respect. (Unfortunately, they do not sell them here in the UK). Therefore, when heal hooking I need to be really positive about my foot placement and push my heal right back into the shoe which seems to work. My only real criticism of La Sportiva shoes is that they do not last very long. I am on my third pair now over 18 months and I tend not to wear them inside. We will have to see how long the Xs edge rubber lasts!

Street shoe - 7 Miura - 6 I have narrow, girl-like feet, which are mismatched i.e one is a 7, the other is a 6 1/2. This often leads to bagginess at the front of the shoe. I'll echo the sentiments of other people with regards to the steep stuff, these are superb....but newsflash, they are also pretty amazing on slabs. I wear a street shoe of 7 and these were painful to start with but after 2 weeks (maybe 5 climbing / 4 bouldering sessions) they fit like a glove. All day use is definitely not their strong point, not that I'll be wearing them for that, at some point you are going to sacrifice comfort for performance but they are good for 10-15 minutes at a time I can honestly say, hand on heart, that edging confidence has increased exponentially which leads to sticking moves that, due to the psychological benefit that these shoes give you, wouldn't have been successful before (if that makes sense). Kind of like a confidence snowball if you like. I don't think I'll ever find a perfect pair of shoes unless I get them hand made due to my geisha feet but these are the best shoes I've ever worn, period.

My friend bought a pair of these and after watching him climb a V4 (which is the hardest either of us have ever climbed!) I enviously tried to accomplish the same feat in my old climbing shoes which I used to think were great, until I tried these on..... Wow; so precise, so stiff, absolutely perfect for steep bouldering. As soon as I climbed with these I felt like a pro. Perhaps shoes are the most undervalued weapon in a climbers arsenal. I certainly undervalued shoes, favouring finger strenghth, forearm muscle, different types of chalk and trying to emulate Chris Sharma. Getting the right shoes for the right job can mean the difference of a whole climbing grade. Yes; these shoes are pretty fantastic I can't wait to get my own pair for sport and bouldering! Aside from the way they climb so well they appear to be of such good quality; these will last a long time. Now, the reason I've given them 4 stars is because: What makes them so great is also their only downfall. What I mean is; because they're so brilliant at steep bouldering and sport climbing, you would have difficulty using them for anything else. When I'm doing multi pitch Trad routes I'll stick with my old shoes for comfort. Obviously you would only buy these for steep stuff, but having to buy two pairs of shoes is somewhat of a hinderance. Worth it though when your clinging on to that V4 by your fingernails but your feet are seemingly stuck to the rock! simply awesome! If your not climbing slabs all the time you should definately buy these shoes!
