The Nemo Obi 2P is a finely tuned featherlight tent that will be much appreciated by serious outdoor types. It is built with the same attention to detail as the one person variant.
The Obi range of tents are the black belt martial artists of the Nemo lineup. Nemo have always designed tents in the most efficient manner possible to create lightweight models that can stand up to what nature throws at them. No material is wasted, and two poles are not used if a more spacious, lighter design can be achieved with just one. Key to the Obi 2P design is a subtle movement of the front pole hub. By placing this overhead they have created more interior volume without the need for an additional ridge pole. The Obi 2P has a raised waterproof tub floor, which allows cutouts in the fly to save significant weight while improving ventilation. Nemo have thought through the practical aspects of a two person tent, resulting in separate vestibules and entrances for each person. These separate entrances help to eliminate jostling for position, while the vestibules are perfectly sized for tucking in your pack and shoes at night . Includes GREEN anodized DAC Featherlite NSL poles, a Light Pocket, dry bag style stuff sack, stakes, and a repair kit. When packed away the Nemo Obi 2P weighs just 1.6kg and fits into a tiny 19 x 15cm package. Despite this the Obi 1P is surprisingly spacious. The floor dimensions are 127 x 213cm (27 sq ft) and it has a height of 102cm (plenty for sitting up). The outer shell is made from fully seam taped 20D nylon, whereas the floor gains a little extra durability by using 30D nylon.
