Comfortable and adjustable harness

This harness is the multi-purpose harness par excellence. Perfect for long routes, ice climbing, glacier travel and via ferrata. Dual waist belt buckles accommodate a wide range of layering options.

  • Frame Construction with breathable monofilament mesh evenly distributes pressure, providing maximum support and comfort.
  • Adjustable leg loops allow size to be adjusted depending on comfort desired or layers of clothing worn and permit the harness to be put on when wearing skis or crampons.
  • DoubleBack buckles are pre-threaded and adjust quickly with a single pull, helping to ensure proper closure.
  • Woven polyester mesh on the inside of the harness wicks moisture for improved comfort and speeds drying in wet conditions.
  • Perforated closed cell foam on leg loops increases breathability.
  • Dual waist buckles allow tie-in to be centered.
  • Green belay loop helps users identify proper tie-in / attachment point.
  • Reinforced tie-in points for increased durability in this high-wear area.
  • Rigid, inclined 3D front equipment loops for easy access to gear; flexible rear loops stay out of the way while wearing a pack.
  • Trail line loop.
  • Two CARITOOL slots.
  • Detachable elastic leg loop straps.

This is an excellent harness, very sturdy and comfortable. The range of adjustment is excellent so will fit over all manner of clothing or not, perfect if you climb in multiple climates, as I do. Personally I like the "soft" gear loops but if you preferred rigid loops then I think this would be your only complaint with this harness.

Good harness but not perfect. It runs a little big, i bought a size 1 and i wear it almost at the smallest settings. My waist size is 28inches. The harness does not look like what it does on this website. I ordered it thinking it is the old white colour but the one which arrived was blue in colour. I checked Petzl's site and saw that the new model is blue. Performance wise there is not much difference, but i was quite disappointed as i do not like blue/green colours :(. The one in the picture looks to have decent gear loops, but the blue version i received had an annoyingly small front gear loop. Very hard to clip or unclip gear. This harness also does not have good webbing management. with a 28inch waist both my waist and leg loops were almost at their tightest, meaning there is a ton of loose webbing. I loop the excess webbing and tuck it under the elastic, which leave a bunch of webbing right above the pathetic gear loops and makes clipping even harder. Overall not a bad harness for the price, but not good either. I'd recommend getting the Camp Jasper CR3 over this blue version of the corax.

This has been my main climbing harness for the last 3 years. The pros have been the comfortable fit, autolocking buckles and a reasonable price. The cons (small really) have been (as mentioned above) leg loops getting tangled, my wife has even more hassle with hers, and my biggest bug bear . . the gear loops. . . they aren't big enough and are positioned to close to the front of the harness making weight distribution of your rack feel uncomfortable. Overall I would recommend this harness for someone starting out in climbing as the comfortable fit will be a big benefit.

Definitely a good buy for me! Very snug and safe, the leg bits get a bit tangled but that may be due to me just stuffing it in my bag! Would buy again!!!

This was the first and only harness I have purchased. It has served me well for the past year and a half wearing it on average 4 times a week. Unfortunately it is now time to retire it! Overall the harness has been great, it's comfortable for long multi pitch climbs and the auto locking buckles are great as well. The problems that I have with this harness are that whenever I pull it out of the bag the leg loops are consistently twisted and take a few seconds to unwind (I have some mates with the same harness and this is common with them as well) Also the gear loops are not so great for trad climbing. They're a bit too small! And finally, now the fastening buckles have rusted rather considerably (after 4 months climbing in south east asia) In general a good harness especially for a beginner, preferable for sport climbing. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
