If you want a high end sport climbing harness or any kind of harness for that matter then get this harness. I have a pretty thin and wiry body type (28'' waist) and the small size is perfect for me. The simplicity of just stepping in and pulling on one auto-locking buckle is really nice. That said though, if you have quite big thighs the leg loops might feel tight. The lack of adjustable leg loops hasn't bothered me (but I've got pipecleaner legs so thunder thighs may need to try first). It is super comfortable, big lead falls and belaying mates 5 stone heavier than me is no problem, it;s light weight and lack of sofa style padding make it really good to climb in. The gear loops are big enough for a single pitch trad rack but it is a bit of a squeeze and the crabs can be difficult to seperate, that said it is a sports climbing harness and does that super well. N.B. I'm 5'10 with 29" waist and small fits me really well. It's very comfortable (even when I've been climbing for 5+ hours) and it is so light-weight that it's easy to forget I am wearing it. This harness may not be for everyone as some people like something a bit more bulky and substantial. Personally I think the only negative effect of it's 'skimpiness' is that it took me a few weeks to trust the harness not to break if I fell, but having used it for the last 11 months and fallen many times I trust it completely. My main reason for buying this harness is its simplicity. Only having one strap to tighten means less time is spent faffing with buckles and more time climbing! For anyone wanting a harness that is lightweight and simple to use I highly recommend the Petzl Hirundos! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] by tris west Date Added: Tuesday 23 November, 2010 LOVE this harness. It's simple, doesn't get tangled up in your bag and looks simple. I recommend trying it on as the leg loops are not that adjustable (although they are elasticated allowing for a little extra width if needed).
