A quickdraws consists of two
carabiners connected by a
length of webbing. This
webbing provides some
extension to gear placements
meaning that the rope can run
more freely and there’s less
chance of your gear being
flicked out by the rope. Most
people will carry between 8
and 12 ‘draws of varying
lengths for general cragging.
