The Western Mountaineering Ultralite received the Editor's choice award from Climbing Magazine, and it is easy to understand why. This -7°C bag is suitable for a range of different climates and so should serve you well for most of the year. It is constructed with 5 1/4" continuous baffles to minimise seams and ensure the the high quality goose down can perform to the best of its ability. The Western Mountaineering Ultralite has a full down collar which should help prevent too much cold air entering the bag around your neck and ensure the upper regions of your body are properly insulated. It will pack down into a stuff sack of 18 x 33cm. If you do not mind carrying around a slightly larger package take a look at the Alpinelite. This wider version of the Ultralite allows you slightly more room to maneuver.
