Black Diamond Technician Approach Shoes - Women's

The Black Diamond Technician Women's shoe is a fitted, narrow technical approach shoe aimed at tricky 5th class climbs and scrambles where maximum contact and precise edges are paramount. The Technician is a lightweight shoe that is very comfortable on approach paths but one you can actually climb in. It is constructed with a flat forefoot and a low volume toe box and a toe rand that covers the EVA in the forefoot to give a stong edging platform. The forefoot is a socklike bootie that is easy to pull on and off, with the upper constructed from EnduroKnit for breathability and temperature control as well as duability. The TPU midfoot strap and lace lock loops give security and the loops for the lacing system in the midfoot extend the whole way around the midsole into the sole of the shoe to give a tight fit where it's needed that is really stable on small edges. The sole is made from Black Diamond BlackLabel-Mountain rubber which gives maximum grip on rock even in wet conditions. The stiffness of the sole is different along the length of the shoe to balance high-performance precision and comfort where it is needed. The forefoot sole is thinner for sensitivity needed for smearing where the midsole and heel has dual density cushioning EVA for more padding. To top these shoes off there are several web loops to clip them to your harness when you switch into higher gear climbing.

Please bear in mind that these shoes are designed to be snug, if you have wide feet or want a casual fit, go up a half size.
