Makes life easy!

Have been climbing for 1 year at an indoor gym using a basic tuber. When the climber needs to rest lots i would get tired of holding down so tight on the rope. So i bought the ATC Pilot and its soooooo nice! Can just hold down with slight pressure to keep a hanging climber in place. If they fall it locks off on its own. Lowering is simple too. I almost bought a big heavy complicated expensive grigri but glad i waited. This ATc Pilot is cheap and easy and works great. One bit of warning - you need a nice thick round hms carabiner for it to lock off properly. Tried it with the wife's small thin magnetic locking carabiner which has almost a rectangular cross-section and it didnt lock properly which means it was the same as using a tuber.
