Camalot C4 - 1

$68.30

Here it is, the C4 cam slightly transformed....for 2019. Now 10% lighter, yet just as durable, the lobes have been made lighter by sculpting them more to optimise strength to weight ratio. These bad boys outclass the beloved third generation of Black Diamond Camalots, now with a wider trigger for easier handling and the slings have been updated visually for easier identification. The Black Diamond Camalots’ double-axle design allows retraction of larger cam lobes, giving them a much larger expansion range than traditional single-axle units. Because loading forces are shared between both axles, this design has the strength to work as a full-strength cam stop, allowing the cam to function as passive pro if it walks back into a wider part of a crack and umbrellas. This is the fourth generation of Black Diamond Camalots and they just keep getting better—they are 40-percent lighter than the originals, the cable loop and trigger are easy to grab, and the slings are large enough to manipulate with gloves.

From using freinds racks with many different brands of cams, I thought it was time to put my own rack together and I decided to go with the black diamond camalots. I find that the camalots are the best because of the ease of use with the large thumb loop and also because of the twin axle design, creating a larger range of camming. Being a single stem cam, it allows for more flexibility if the cam is placed at a normally undesirable angle. The only improvement to the cam that may come in handy would be an extendable sling rather then a fixed length sling. This would allow an easier way of quickly extending without having to attach an extra quickdraw. Overall I think these are probably the best cams I've seen for small to large size cracks.

Hi guys,
I´m from Frankfurt/Germany! BananaFingers is the best shop on the island. Quick answers to e-mails, best prices, cheap and fast shipping (DHL) to Germany. Paypal or creditcard as I wish!
I bought a lot of Camalots C4, I believe "the Mercedes" among the Cams.
All my mental (climbing) problems are gone :-)
Thanks guys from Banana fingers!
