This bulky item will cause your order to be delivered by courier. Please expect your order to be delayed by one day if you add it to your cart.

Moon pads use the highest quality closed-cell and open-cell foams bonded together into a single piece; ultra hardwearing ballistic nylon fabric; lightweight MOON-logoed aluminium/aluminum buckles, and padded shoulder straps.

All MOON pads feature an innovative “reverse fold” system, folding taco style to provide a surface with no creases and with the landing surface folding to the outside. In this “reverse fold,” the up-side with the firm foam also has the carry straps. When you shoulder your MOON pad after using it over muddy ground, the lower (dirty) surface of the pad folds in, saving your clothes, your car seats, or your mother’s carpet, from that dirt you’ve been throwing it into all day long.

On the landing surface, a sturdy flap covers the shoulder straps so you won’t trip on them, but it also keeps the carry area free of dirt, even if the pad is flipped over. Neatly, the same flap turns back down and around, exposing the straps while wrapping the lower end of the pad to secure your gear in carry mode.

Warrior
Named after Mars the warrior planet. The Warrior measures 130 x 100 x 12 cm or 51 x 40 x 4.7 inches. Features padded rucksack shoulder straps. Approx weight is 6kg or 12lbs.

Slightly firmer than it's Snap Competitors, but it has the edge in terms of design and usability. Looks better too!
The plastic that covers the foam inside can be removed if you like, but there's no noticeable slippage from it in use and it adds a lot in terms of durability.
Store it flat/unfolded if you can and you'll never go wrong!

A great pad. Well designed and well produced. My girlfriend uses this pad and I'd have one if I didn't have the 'Saturn'. She's 5'3", 7st. and this is the biggest pad she can sensibly manage. If £150 is your budget then this is your pad, If your can afford more then go for the 'Saturn'.

This version is far worse than the original Warrior, and I certainly wouldn't go for one of these again. Just perusing for a new pad and thought I'd offer a word of warning on these: the foam isn't as good as it used to be, the covers are less well designed and the build quality isn't what it once was. Still better than some pads available but no longer a top end mat in my view.

Like anyone buying their first pad, I was concerned about getting good value for money and found it with the Warrior. A good size for the money and most importantly offers the confidence that your ankles and arse will be looked after. Can't comment on the durability as I haven't had it long, but the build quality is impressive. If my taste for bouldering grows, the Saturn would be my first consideration for an upgrade. In summary, it does what I wanted a pad to do at a good price.
