Bug
The Petzl Bug was designed specifically for multipitch, long routes that are done in a single day. Its rounded rectangular shape maximizes volume and minimizes interference while in use. The volume of the BUG is ideal for carrying gear on the approach and when climbing (hydration system, guidebook/topo, clothing, shoes, etc). Everything has been designed for maximum comfort while climbing with the BUG on the back: minimal bulk, shoulder straps allowing freedom of arm movement, comfortable and ventilated back panel, foldaway waistbelt, high positioning allows access to back of harness(for chalkbag, gear) and lateral compression straps.
Features
Carries high on the back:
Allows for easy access to the back of your harness(gear loops, chalk bags, etc)
Enables a rope to be strapped to the bottom of the pack(carry straps)
Waistbelt provides additional carry comfort for heavy loads and tucks away for freedom of movement when climbing
Lateral compression straps allow the pack to be compressed, preventing the contents from shifting while climbing
Lateral compression straps allow you to carry a jacket on the outside
Great balance between volume and shape provides plenty of room for gear without interfering while climbing
Wide, ergonomically shaped shoulder straps are comfortable while wearing the pack and stable on the back even without using waistbelt. Whilst also providing freedom of movement while climbing.
Astute design includes a guidebook pocket on the outside for quick and easy access, attachment loop for an e+LITE (emergency headlamp), zippered mesh pocket with key clip, small pocket on the shoulder strap for a topo map, as well as being hydration system compatible.

Great bag very tough and deceptively spacious, this is my day to day climbing bag I fit two pairs of shoes, 10 quick draws, chalk, harness, belay, caribeaner, shorts, shirt, bottle of water, and there is still room! Then there's the many little hoops I have caribeaners running down so I can quickly attach things and two straps either side I sometimes use for my shoes or water bottles, just a great little bag, the only downside I've found is that I'm heavy rain it's not 100% water proof but nothing inside is soaked if just feels damp where it contacts the fabric of the bag
