This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch
more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.
The Women's Momentum Lace is a comfortable low volume entry-level model of Black Diamond's new line of climbing shoes. These shoes are built for all-day comfort whether you are climbing at the crag all day or having an indoor climbing session. They feature a flat neutral last, and an upper made entirely from knit technology. This upper is designed to provide maximum comfort and will be ideal for new climbers whose feet are still adapting to wearing climbing shoes.
KNIT is similar to Nike's Flyknit technology. It uses a knitted, mesh structure that's much more breathable, stretchy, and comfortable than traditional or synthetic uppers. Black Diamond construct this upper themselves, so they can decide what areas need to be stretchy and breathable for comfort, or supportive to retain the shoe's shape. A microfibre lining in the front of the Momentum Women's ensures that performance is maintained in the toe area.
