The Boreal Dharma has been built on a reasonably aggressive and asymmetric last for a technical sensitivity and there is also a fairly stiff midsole. This makes for a shoe which excels on slight overhangs with micro edges where precision, friction and support are required. Split leather uppers, integrated tongue, triple velcro closure and a 'wrap rand' allow for a comfortable fit without any loss in power.

Details:

  • Triple velco closure system
  • Integrated elastic tongue
  • Down turned and asymmetric, slip lasted
  • Wrap rand system for a better fit
  • Toe hook rubber
  • Split grain leather upper
  • 4mm Zenith Rubber
  • Anti deformation mid-sole

How I choose the correct size?

All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.

Choose from the options below to find your size in the Boreal Dharma
Climbing Shoe
or
Street Shoe

This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.

My absolute favourite shoes for steep limestone sport climbing! The leather upper on the Dharma needed more breaking-in that my old Scarpa shoes but once worn in were quite comfortable. They're stiffer than most which I find massively beneficial on small edges and pockets. Overall a really great shoe!

Really good quality all the way! Closing system, heel, rubber, sensibility, manufacturing, multipurpose shoe.

Brilliant shoe.
-Grippy rubber for smearing
-Solid toe and heels for all your hooking needs
-Pointed toe for sticking those small footholds
-Fairly aggressive downturn really helps on overhangs (but doesn't particularly hinder in non-overhang territory)

Similar fit to Boreal Jokers but slightly tighter in the toes. Good for my short wide feet. I find it very hard to find comfortable climbing shoes- I've tried 15-20 pairs from various vendors over the last 6 months before settling on these. Highly recommended seller- Bananafingers has fast shipping (received in a few days both times I ordered) and refunds very quickly upon returns. If you're also cursed with awkward feet then I recommend trying these dharmas, or buying a few different shoes and returning the unwanted ones.

I always used to use Boreal back in the day, so thought I would try these out. Although they were not as comfortable out the box as my Instinct VS, they soon broke in and ended up feeling better than anything I've used before.

The shape is great, heel fit is good and the rubber seems really sticky. I thought I was only going to use these for bouldering, but I now just use these all the time.
