Oracle

$133.45
$180.01

The Evolv Oracle sits at the top level of the Evolv range and is an excellent all round performer no matter if you are bouldering, sport climbing or even high trad routes. The toe box is a very similar shape to the popular Shaman models and utilises the same 'knuckle box' to provide a bit of room for the toe knuckles and also the 'love bump' on the sole to take up some of the deadspace created from wearing tight climbing shoes. The mid-sole is of a medium stiffness for a good level of support but without sacrificing too much sensitivity or smearing performance. The Oracle uses the FSS heel tension system and the laces also run through it to provide loads of support and an excellent fit. With TRA SAS rubber used on the outsole for friction you can always be sure of your foot placements.

Details:

- Profile: Downturned asymmetry with "Knuckle Box"
- Upper: Synthetic (Synthratek VX upper)
- Lining: Unlined
- Midsole: 1.6 mm half-length "Love Bump" midsole, Dark Spine heel midsole
- Sole: 4.2 mm TRAX® SAS, two-piece outsole
- Rand: VTR rand (thicker front toe area)
- Quick-Lace Closure System
- Ultimate heel tension using the FSS Heel Tension system
- Agion Anti-microbial lining

How I choose the correct size?

All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.

Choose from the options below to find your size in the Evolv Oracle
Climbing Shoe
or
Street Shoe

This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.

Tried at a boot demo

I tried a pair for over 2 hours at a boot demo.
I’d previously tried Evolvs & found the Shamans fitted my foot best but bit into my Achilles too much. This wasnt the case with the Oracles, they fitted perfectly. They are a sensitive, soft shoe with impressive grip. Wide fitting in the toe box but the heel is narrow & snug.
My current go to shoes are the Scarpa VS & Sportiva Genius. Sizing wise my street is 7-7.5, Genius 38.5 & VS’s 39.5. I wore these in a UK 7 & found them perfect. Out of interest I tried the 6.5’s too- they felt hideous!
This review can’t be particularly thorough as I’ve only used them for 2 hours indoor bouldering but it may help the odd person decide. I’ll be buying a pair in the future.
I lead sport 7c(ish) outdoors but am a weak indoor boulder (v5-ish).
