The Evolv Shaman 2 builds from the success of the original Sharma signature model. The front strap of the velcro closure has been inset further to allow for better side toe scumming and the addition of more rubber on the toe makes for more secure toe hooks.

How I choose the correct size?

All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.

Choose from the options below to find your size in the Evolv Shaman 2
Climbing Shoe
or
Street Shoe

This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.

'The all round fit of the shoe has been improved specifically in the heel and arch, both of which have been redesigned.'

Disagree with this statement completely. I owned the original Shamans since they came out and thought I'd found my 'shoes for life' since they fitted so well. When the Shaman 2 came out I expected more of the same, but the redesigned heel has made them completely unwearable. They now dig into my heelbone and after an hour of pain in them, I have to take them off and stop climbing. I thought at first that it was because they were new and would give and break in, but 2 months on and they still hurt, even with my heels taped up. I've owned Scarpas, La Sportivas and FiveTens in the past, and I've never had to stop climbing due to my shoes (other than from downsizing too much!).

The rest of the shoe is great, but the redesign of the heel now means im off to another shoe.

The sharman 2 is the best shoe I have owned. The fit gives you confidence in the toe to stand on anything! I love the toe box because it fits so well and gives you so much power through the toe. The toe rubber is sticky and works really really well. The TRAX rubber is super sticky. Very supportive outdoors allows you to not worry about standing on small stuff. But don't take it lightly as the shoe is substantially down-turned and takes a lot to wear in. At the beginning of each session I wear them for 5 minutes with no straps done up to warm the shoes so it becomes more malleable and then strap it up and never worry about slipping off small holds ever again!

I am a reasonable old boy climber with wide feet and have struggled for years to get a climbing shoe that fits me.

I had the Evolv Shaman 1's and really liked them. When it was time to change I did consider moving to another shoe and another brand, on reading reviews of Shaman 2 I decided to stick with Evolv and see what new benefits I would gain.

In summary these shoes are comfortable, sensitive and good for most everything, I even climb slabs in them.

A great shoe delivered by a great company (BananaFingers). I like them so much that I have even bought a second pair at one size smaller than my Shaman 1s.

These are my third pair of Evolv shoes! Having owned the original Shaman's and a Nexxos, I'm (no pun intended) comfortable with the sizing of the Evolv brand, and the Shaman 2's are IMO the most comfortable pair of Evolv shoes I've owned to date.
Performance wise it's hard for me to comment ( I'm no climbing guru by any stretch of the imagine. 6b's on a good day! ) That said I can't blame the shoes for my lack of climbing prowess. I think they are superb much like the service we receive from Bananafingers.

They are great. They WILL give you a deformity on the first knuckle of your big toe, being quite downturned, but hey, I am climbing more accurately and better than ever. However, they're far more flexible and leaner than the first edition. You can feel precisely where your foot is placed much better. The heel is also much improved.
