How I choose the correct size?

All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.

Choose from the options below to find your size in the Five-Ten Arrowhead
Climbing Shoe
or
Street Shoe

This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.

Bought as a sport shoe, now use it for trad too. Most comfortable shoe I've ever owned (I've got quite narrow feet and my normal street size was fine) and despite the downturn I find it flexible enough for slabs. 10 points, will buy again.

Great shoe! Have used for bouldering indoors, as am entering comps soon and these shoes ought to be great for them. They are quite painful to walk in, though for bouldering it's no biggy. Though what they lack in comfort they provide in performance. Brilliant smears, awesome hooking and impressive sensitivity, not to mention the epic looks! Overall, great shoe, well done once again 5:10!

Brilliant aggressive shoe!

Perfect for very steep/overhanging walls, and should defiantly be on your list of shoes to try.
Perfect for indoor training on moonboards, caves and steep roofs. However the shoe worked perfectly on vertical walls and slabs, however using the toe of the shoe on slabs etc can cause alot of discomfort to the climber themselves. The toe of the shoe can be fairly uncomfortable if you haven't trimmed your nails down. The shoe it'self really compacts your toes and focuses hugely on the big toe. If your nails aren't trimmed, you can bend your big toenail which was extremely unpleasant.

The heel on the shoe is slimmer, but still for those with a larger heel. If you have a slim heal, you will find the shoe baggy and you wont fill out the whole of it.

The fit of the shoe is very tight! I had a pair of scarpa vapour xsg's before i discovered this shoe and i took a size 9.5 (uk size). My street shoe is size 11 (uk) so when it came to the arrowheads i expected to squeeze into a 9.5 or 10. However as mentioned before, the shoes is extremely tight! I couldn't even fit into a size 10 and had to settle for a size 10.5. Even with this larger size i was struggling to wear the shoes for more than 5 minutes a time. But after time, the shoe has stretched slightly, and its become more bearable to wear the shoes. There wasn't much stretch in the shoe though, just the right amount. The two material loops at the back are extremely well positioned, and really help you to pull the shoe over your feet. BUT just be careful, the loops can be SHARP and cut your fingers.

The rubber around the toe isn't the best for toehooking. I found there wasn't enough, and i ended up using the fabric which turned out to be fairly painful!

The material within the shoe isn't the nicest, but it's satisfactory. The tongue is fairly padded and has a nice feel but the fabric above the toes is rough and I personally found it rubbed a fair bit.

The Velcro straps on the shoe are extremely efficient for putting on the shoes, and offer a great grip on your feet. If you really tighten the straps the shoe it'self tights all round, and it results in a great fit. However as the shoe stretches, and straps obviously become longer, so just trim them as they become longer.

Nothing much to say for the rubber except again, nothing beats 5.10 rubber!
The rubber on the shoe was very stiff, which is the way i personally like my shoes. I took these shoes to font for a week in October, and have used them roughly 3-6 times a week for a minimum of 3 hours a session. The rubber has only just started to become softer and id guess i have about 3 months left in them. (Todays date is the 22nd Febuary).

One last comment is about the colour! I found the colour one of the best features about the shoes it'self! I often had my scarpa's stolen or hidden at my local climbing centre, and always managed to get them back. But with this bright colour, noone touched them and I never had to worry about having them stolen! However the more chalk that gets on them, the duller the colour gets, but still looks good!

i got my arrow heads about a month ago so far they are amazing i have used them outdoors and indoors i use them for bouldering and leading the sizing of the arrow head compared to the anasazi verde is about a half size smaller so remember that when you are buying them, they take about two/three sessions to brake in you can use them for anything and one more good thing about them is they can smear so they are perfect for route climbing
