The Five Ten Dragon VCS is a reincarnation of the very first Dragon shoe, however it has been updated and is now made from more technical materials and manufacturing processes. But, it is still a go to model for steep bouldering and sport climbing. The Dragon VCS still uses the same highly asmmetrical last with an aggressive downturned profile so you can really pull on small holds on overhanging territory. Although the last stays the same there is now a spilt sole with a 3.5mm thickness in the toe box and a thinner material in the back to cover the revised heel cup and to also increase flexibility for a better fit in the arch. The compound of rubber remains unchanged, the Stealth HF (High Friction) is the softest produced by Five Ten and will give you huge levels of friction and sensitivity in abundance. Toe hook enthusiasts will also rejoice at the addition of a larger covering over the knuckles.

The asymmetric velcro fastening gives a better angle for pulling in a tighter fit and allows you to get your shoes on and off very quickly, especially handy if you're wearing them tight. Even though aggressive shoes like the Dragon VCS are never going to be all day milage shoes Five Ten have vastly improved comfort levels with a lined microfibre material for cushioning. This also helps to maintain the shape of the shoe over time and limit stretch.

Details:

- Asymmetrical velcro closure
- Microfibre upper for limited stretch
- Textile lining
- Stealth HF rubber outsole
- Soft midsole
- Extended toe rand

How I choose the correct size?

All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.

Choose from the options below to find your size in the Five-Ten Dragon VCS
Climbing Shoe
or
Street Shoe

This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.
