How I choose the correct size?

All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.

Choose from the options below to find your size in the Five-Ten Five Ten Hiangle
Climbing Shoe
or
Street Shoe

This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.

Go up a size from the old version

I've been wearing Hi-Angles for 3 or 4 years now and went through a few pairs of the old blue version. I used to wear them in a Size 10 (UK), followed the size guide and bought this new version in a Size 11 and they fit like a glove, very easy to get on and a snug but comfortable fit.

These are the second pair of climbing shoes that I've ever purchased, the first being a pair of Red Chili spirit, which to be honest we're a great pair of all round beginner shoes, they ended up being super comfortable, but the time came to buy a new pair and I went looking for something with a bit more of an aggressive profile and something that would give me a bit more 'stick.' I predominantly boulder and wanted something that would give me more grip when toe and heel hooking. These definately do the job, I was a bit sceptical about how much difference a new pair of shoes would make so I was pleasantly surprised, so much better for holding myself up on roof problems and nice and easy to get a precise position on smaller foot holds. Uncomfortable to start with obviously but because they have a leather upper they've stretched out to fit like a second skin now and unlike last years version they don't turn your feet blue! All in all super pleased! Oh and as always the deliver was quick and working out what size I needed was nice and easy thanks to the banana fingers calculator, great piece of kit!

Bought these today and already know I'm going to get on with them. I'm personally a fan of the Evolv Nexxo's which unfortunately have been discontinued. I like the Shaman and Shakra but both feel a little blocky to me in comparison. Liked the feel of the Agro but don't personally like the smells that come with Synthetic lined shoes! To me, these feel like the Nexxo's albeit a little stiffer through the mid foot. I wear a street shoe size 9 and wear a 9 in the Nexxo and went with an 8 in the Hiangle. They feel really awesome so far!

Only a day since arriving , They are great. Far from being broken in they feel tight (Same size as my trainers) , but fom first climb they performed great feeling snug but secure with a better fitting heel than my dragons.
Can't wait till they wear in and the stealth kicks in for real ......
And no BLUE FEET great shoes
