The Five Ten Hiangle Womens is a downturned shoe which is more supportive in the midsole than other models making for a greater edging capability, it has a lower internal volume and slightly narrower fit than the mens version meaning that it will fit women better. The C4 rubber ensures loads of grip and secure foot placements. Combining an unlined leather construction and a less asymmetric profile means they are also comfy and breathable, the use of a velcro closure over the slipper style elastic makes for a secure fit. These are a great choice if you are not used to wearing downturned shoes.

Details:

  • Stealth® C4™ rubber outsole (4mm)
  • Unlined leather upper – Half-size stretch
  • Single-strand Velcro closure system
  • Stiff toe box
  • Stiffness – Stiff

Suited to:

  • Overhanging terrain
  • Indoor and outdoor climbing
  • First time users of downturned shoes

If you are used to the old Hiangle Womens when it was manifactured in the US then we suggest going a whole size up for the same fit

How I choose the correct size?

All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.

Choose from the options below to find your size in the Five-Ten Five Ten Hiangle Womens
Climbing Shoe
or
Street Shoe

This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.

I needed a bouldering shoe with more rubber on the toes! In South Africa, I had not seen the womens Hiangles in any store, I tried on the mens and they felt super comfortable. So I ordered these babies, in a halve size smaller (6.5 UK) than my street shoe (7 UK). I think in the mens I tried on a 6, the same size as my as my La Sportiva miuras (which are super comfy after a tiny break in). I took a halve size bigger because I was advised that Five Ten try to make shoe sizes that correspond to your street shoes and the womens shoe was a lower volume (perfect for my narrow feet).

Anyway, when I first got these I put them on, no problem. A tip for entry is to fold down the heel then slip your toes in. However a small session to test them proved agony! So I tried the shower in your shoes method and left them for a day in damp newspaper compressed with a shoe horn. Then walked around in the house for an hour every day for about 4 days. WORKED LIKE A CHARM! They fit sooooo well, are super comfy and stick to everything! Good edging (thanks to its stiffness) and awesome toe-hooking! :D. They are super on my current overhanging project. Seriously comfy, I can spend the day in them practically. Have patience to break them in, it's well worth it!

Fantastic Shoe, epic rubber! Good bang for your buck! Just needs some breaking in ;)

I bought these as I needed a replacement for my Katana Shoe, and at a very reasonable price I thought I would try my luck with an aggressive shoe!
They were absolute agony to begin with, as they were my first aggressive shoe I found the downturn very hard to get used to, however after about 10 15M routes I found they are broke in. I still need to keep taking them off whilst belaying as they are just too un comfortable to stand in. Their performance is amazing, and a superb shoe from 5:10. They are brilliant on small foot holds, very precise, amazing on overhangs and steep routes.

I would certainly recommend this shoe to anyone who wants a good priced aggressive shoe!

I went half a size up from my street shoe, and I am glad I did.

Last but not least, they are a slipper shoe, and the tight fit means they can be a bit of a pain to get on and get your toes in comfortably.

But another amazing product from 5:10
