This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch
more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.

The La Sportiva Otaki Womens is a precise, supportive climbing shoe that excels at range of disciplines from indoor bouldering to tiny edges at the crag.
La Sportiva have a habit of naming their shoes after Japanese swords. In Japanese Saumurai slang 'Otaki' is the oldest single wire sword. It is extremely sharp and precise and often used for small targets.
The Otaki Woman is built in such a way that it has the snug fit of a slipper, with the added benefit of a velcro closure to ensure they don't get sloppy or ping off your foot when heel hooking. In fact the heel fit is particularly good due to the Sportiva S-Heel system which causes the shoe to wrap around your heel in such a way to create perfect stability in torsion.
