The La Sportiva Tarantula has become a favorite among climbers, whether they are beginners or veterans, due to their comfort and durability. This all-around shoe has features that make it suitable for small edges, long gym sessions, and multi-pitch climbs.
The Tarantula has a reputation for being comfortable and well-rounded, which makes it perfect for both beginners and experienced climbers. Despite having features that are typically found in high-performance shoes, the Tarantula does not compromise on comfort.
The shoe's midsole is stiff, providing support for your feet, which is especially beneficial for multi-pitch climbs or beginners who have not yet developed the necessary foot muscles for downturned or soft shoes. Additionally, the Tarantula's FriXion® Black 4mm rubber is both sticky and hard, making it suitable for smearing and small edges on slabs and vertical surfaces.
The upper of the shoe is made of suede calfskin with a tubular construction and features velcro straps for a customizable fit while climbing.
