$140.91
$188.74

This is the third iteration of the hugely popular Booster, and they have taken what a great shoe was and made it even better.

The Booster is built to be the tool of choice for sport climbing on steep terrain, where you need a shoe that is ultra-sensitive and precise.

It uses a one-third length Vibram® XS Grip 2 sole creates a flexible shoe that allows more natural movement through overhanging, thin routes. The midsole has got significantly larger, so it virtually matches the sole, making it stiffer for better stability on micro-edges. The middle of the midsole has been hollowed out to allow the sole to spread on smears.

It is built on a new asymmetrical, downturned last. The forefoot is the heel is slightly narrower and more sculpted, the forefoot is slightly wider than the older versions. The DTS rand enhances powerful movements through dynamic problems by concentrating the strength of the foot through an asymmetrical support ribbon; driving energy to the forefoot while the PAF system helps reduce over-compression of the toes and provides a snug-fitting heel.

Sole: Vibram XS Grip 2 Last: FZC Upper: Microfibre Weight: 490g (pair of EU 40) Vegan-Friendly

I have had these shoes for about 4 months and have usrd them indoors and for a few weeks in Margalef in Spain.
Pros
Superbly sensitive.Particuarly edging but vrry good for pockets
Very comfy the fit to me reminded me of Katana Velcros(heel)
Ease of fit..I got them one size down from my street shoe on advice gleaned from on line and trying some out in a shop.Snug fit but not painful. It seems right.
Cons
Due to their softness, though almost an all rounder, they do not seem that comfy on long steep slabs...ie like most soft down turned shoes
Conclusion
After experimenting with many shoes in last 7 or 8 years these seem to offer almost everything i need excepting slab climbing.
8/10

After one session in these I quickly realised they would be a very comfortable, well fitting shoe. The inside is much softer than my previous shoes (boostic) and the whole shoe is generally softer which gives it a more all round feel. Overall very happy with the new booster will definitely buy again and again..!

Climbed in these for 6 sessions now

These are tight! They definitely take a while to break in, so don't be worried if your foot still cramps up for a while.

I'm a size 8.5 street shoe, got these in a EU 39 (which I think translates to a 6.5 UK) and they're a great fit. The heel is a tad baggy, but I have this problem in all of my shoes, so it's most likely my anatomy interfering

Highly recommended for boulder overhangs and gym climbing, but I wouldn't be trad climbing in these, they're just too tight to wear for long periods of time

I picked up the Booster S shoes by Scarpa early this week and first impressions have been excellent!

Having bought the shoes in an 8.5 (I'm a 9 normally) and the fit wasn't great, I had to send them back for a smaller size. Banana Fingers obliged with their excellent returns service.

The moment I slipped on the 8's, they felt perfect, the lining of the shoe is very soft and is feels lovely against the skin. I was really amazed that I suffered no discomfort after cramming my feet in! Previously, I've felt the need to break a shoe in and endured a week or so of painfully crushed toes and the occasional blister.

Definitely not the case here! The shoes felt great from the get go. In terms of performance, I've had nothing but good experiences. The Vibram rubber sticks really well and is soft enough to smear comfortably in, but hard enough to offer great edging as well. I feel these deserve a shout out after aiding me in finishing my first 7B+ lead!

The heel is fairly shallow, which maybe doesn't offer the best security and fits my weird feet just fine, although there is a little bit of play when heel hooking.

One thing I have noticed as well is that the shoe is very deep, meaning if you have flat feet like me, the velcro really needs to be ratcheted in tight. It doesn't affect the fit though, there is plenty of velcro to play with.

All in all a solid shoe so far although I would like to see a slightly deeper heel for a bit of extra security. Also, the shoes are quite a bit more aggressive than the picture here suggests!
