Chimera
Taking its name from a hybrid beast of Greek mythology, the Scarpa Chimera is a longstanding favourite on the climbing shoe market and now comes with glitzy new paintwork.
Designed to be the most precise bouldering shoe on the planet, the Scarpa Chimera features Vibram XS Grip 2 for ultimate grip, an elongated toe-patch for toe-hooking across its entire length, and a vacuum lacing system for a secure and bespoke fit.
Alongside this, Scarpa has utilized what is normally an un-sung hero and made it a game-changing characteristic, its inner panel. On the shoe's inner, a large, seamless, morphic big-toe panel has been placed. This assures your foot's power is firmly channeled through the big toe, whilst its smooth area avoids discomfort and uneven pressure points.
With its bi-lateral footbed, the Chimera's stitching allows the shoe to move and adapt with the foot as it changes under pressure on different holds, whilst its cleverly placed synthetic and natural fibers on the footbed provide the shoe with consistent overall power across all climbing disciplines and compression when needed.
Boulder or Sport, the Scarpa Chimera offers equal measures of top-dog performance and silky comfort, assuring solid foot placements and bringing out your best, whilst its microfibre upper offers little stretch and will hold its shape throughout the duration of its lifespan.

How I choose the correct size?
All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.
This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.
