The Tenaya Tarifa is a powerful performance shoe with a narrow last. Although aggressive in appearance they are surprisingly comfortable to wear, even for longer periods and the speed lacing system allows for an ultra precise fit with a quick entry. The Tarifa uses a mid-stiffness mid sole giving you enough sensitivity to use them on steep ground but also enough support to get power into edges on vertical routes. A Vibram XS Grip rubber compound has been chosen for the sole providing an excellent balance between friction and durability and the MRRB Technology (Maximum Range of Response and Balance) ensures brilliant foot stability and dynamic response.

Details:

  • MRRB Technology (Maximum Range of Response and Balance)
  • Microfiber upper
  • Speed lace fastening system
  • Cotton lining with TXT treatment
  • Vibram XS Grip 3.5 mm outsole

How I choose the correct size?

All climbing shoe models fit differently. We put together our 'shoeculator' to help you find the right size in a new model, compared to your old climbing shoes or street shoes.

Choose from the options below to find your size in the Tenaya Tarifa
Climbing Shoe
or
Street Shoe

This sizing advice is based on two pairs of brand new shoes. Leather shoes tend to stretch more than synthetic shoes. When switching from synthetic to leather you may want to select a smaller size.

Tenaya Tarifa

Very comfortable and precise shoe. Not the usual pain that goes with a shoe like this. Also very competitively priced

I am in love with them. Swapping from 4.5 miuras vs (the blue ones) to 4.5 in tarifas. A year of breaking miuras didn't bring as much comfort as these were out of the box. Super precise toe, nice snug heel and so damn comfortable, I didn't expect that from an aggressive shoe at all. Seriously considering getting a second pair just in case they stop making them. Props to the BF team for very good service too!

Took a leap of faith buying these, previously had La Sportivas but these are honestly great very sticky and a nice close comfortable fit. They have yet to let me down!
Also I think these are the best looking boots on the market to be honest...

I have owned both the Tenaya Ra and Masai and took a leap of faith ordering the Tarifa on-line. First thing to note delivery was excellent Top Banana! Shoes perform as expected -superb straight from the box. I might order half a size smaller than the RA/Masai as they seem slightly bigger. Great shoe though, I'm not a great climber but feel very secure with my foot placement when wearing these. What more do you want?
