I wore these crampons with my scarpa 3 seasons walking boots. I had only done climbing in ice and snow once before and didn't want to buy a pair of rigid climbing boots as I wasn't sure I would use them enough to justify the cost. A friend who is experienced in ice climbing thought these crampons might do. They were really excellent. I felt much safer with them on, and managed to climb Skiddaw and Scafell Pike in winter conditions. You have to make sure they are fastened on really tightly or they can slip. Once they are tight enough they are very secure. I would certainly recommend them if you want a pair of flexible crampons which will bend with softer boots.
