Fingerboard

P448Z806
$52.85

Finger strength is what sets great climbers apart from merely good climbers. Ultimately it is your fingers that keep you in contact with the rock and therefore they will be the limiting factor in what you can achieve. Neglect them at your peril. If you are going to buy one item of training equipment then make it a fingerboard.

As with all Moon products the design philosophy is definitely "less is more" and the Moon Fingerboard is no exception. The Moon fingerboard is all you need. It contains all the different types of holds you need to train on to get stronger for all types of climbing, from half-joint finger edges through to incut finger-jugs; 2-finger pockets through to 4-finger pockets, plus 2 different types of slopers. It's a compact, simple design which, if used correctly, will prove highly effective and will soon become your best friend.

Voted "Editors Choice" in the US magazine Climbing, and "The dog's bollocks" by ukbouldering.com. What more can we say?

Dimensions: 70 x 14 x 4 cm

Less really is more with Moon: doesn't look as impressive as other fingerboards but it is more discreet above the door and it still pack 8 different holds and any number of combinations. The colour was as described (I chose white and it still looks good after six months not grubby or dirty...yet)!

This is probably the only board you will ever need. It takes up far less space than most other boards as well so that's a double win!!

Bought the moon board for my mates birthday, accidentally got it sent to my old address, excellent service to get another one sent out on time and also refund the original purchase + shipping once it was returned. No complaints

This is my first fingerboard. After climbing for about 4 months I decided to get one to improve my finger and arm strength. I currently use it about once a week, and use a normal pull up bar a few times a week.

The only pain for me is that I have to de-mount it from my door frame after use. If it were permanently mounted I think I would get much more use out of it.

The board itself is great, with a variety of holds to train on. When I first got it, I thought whoever made it was having a laugh as some of the holds felt impossible to dead hang on for a beginner. But as your hang strength improves you start to see the benefits of it and the holds don't seem quite so severe.

I wouldn't recommend this as a first board to be honest, if you're new to climbing find one that has a larger variety of holds and has some deeper ones to start off on.

One other thing, the surface is quite rough on your hands at first.
After using a wood beastmaker at the climbing gym, i realised how rough this one is on your hands in comparison.

Overall though, I'm happy with the moon board, it'll do me until I can afford an all wood board to use *as well* as this one...
