Ghost Evo
The Grivel Ghost Evo is the technical iteration of their lightest weight, minimal ice axe, made for light mountaineering and ski touring in steep and technical terrain. The Ghost Evo has an aluminium alloy G-bone shaft for greater strength at a reduced weight, with a slight curve for enhanced clearance and effective self arrest on any kind of terrain. The carbon steel blade is stronger and more durable than all-aluminium lightweight axes. The pick blade has a more aggressive curve and teeth for greater grip on snow and ice and penetration of hard ice. The Ghost Evo comes with an adze on the back of the pick, with the centre cut out to reduce weight, yet it is still effective at cutting steps. The blade is ergonomic for better comfort while holding it as a piolet. The spike is made of carbon steel shaped for efficient plunging when walking on steep snow.
The Ghost Evo is the axe that will suit alpinists and mountaineers on steeper and more technical terrain, or harder routes, and when the lightest possible technical option is important.
