BF STAFF REVIEW: Have a few of these and some larger ones. Normally take one when off sport climbing in case the anchors at the top are not what excepted. Been to numerous less used welsh sport quarries where I've needed to use these in the anchor setups (for example bypassing chains, or linking the still safe parts of chains to bolts etc. IMPORTANT- If using a maillon as an anchor point to descend make sure it is big enough for your rope so the running rope doesn't undo the gate !!
