Ultralight Curve Nut Set

$153.11

The Metolius Ultralight Curve Nut Set (sizes 1 - 10) has been made 30% lighter than the competition through clever engineering that includes attaching the cable directly to the nut (rather than looping it through).
The side to side curves of these nuts will provide greater stability in flaring placements, whereas the straight-sided taper should make judging placement quality easier. As you would expect, Metolius have color-coded the anodized heads of their Curve Nuts such that they match up with their cam colours.
The Metolius Ultralight Curve Nut Set is hand built in Bend Oregon. All nuts are individually strength tested.

I really like these nuts, the biggest size is the equivalent of about a size 8 rock, so I wouldn't recommend this set as a first set of nuts unless you have some smaller hexes, but as a secondary set they are brilliant as they are a different shape but also I find I mostly use the smaller nuts anyway, and this set covers the smaller set better. They also seem to seat well, almost too well as they can be a pain in the backside to remove sometimes, but that helps fill you with confidence when you lead with them.

Having only used only this pair of nuts my review is probably not worth much but i l give it a try.
There are easy to judge where they fit, they stay well where placed giving lots of confidence and easy to handle.Saying all these i am beginner with trad climbing and have only used them in vdiffs, severes and vss without taking a fall.If you compare them to dmm walnuts 1-11 they only weight smt like 50gr less in total so not sure if worth paying the difference in money.
