Speed 40

A true tried-on-route alpine pack, the Speed 40 Pack has been proven on Sierra across the globe and is designed for lightweight performance on rock, snow, and ice.
Boasting an updated BD X-rip 210d fabric with UTS™ coating, the Black Diamond Speed is built to withstand the worst the mountain can muster, whilst it's fully strippable build with a removable waistbelt, lid, and frame-sheet, give you the option to minimalize your set-up if you need to.
With the new Speed 40, Black Diamond has improved the comfort of the pack, with a moisture-wicking, updated back-panel and redesigned shoulder straps of dual-density foam for better load distribution. Alongside this, Ice tool PickPockets™ now feature a new custom metal dogbone ice tool attachment, boosting ice tool security, plus the snag-free crampon straps and a tuck-away rope strap secure gear to the outside. Featuring all the bells and whistles you need to handle your next trudge above the tree line, the Black Diamond Speed 40 is the ideal minimalist mountaineering and climbing pack.
