Blue Ice Octopus

Stupidly simple, ridiculously practical and with a build quality and attention to detail that will leave you all warm inside; this is the Blue Ice Octopus. The Octopus can be used as a normal day to day rucksack, however where it really excels is as a rope bag. The main compartment will easily fit an 80m rope and has easy access via the circumferential zip. This allows the back panel to open away from the body of the bag much like the pages of a book. The top of the pack allows access to a smaller compartment designed for storage of your shoes, belay, quickdraws and make-up. Maybe not make-up.

What we really like about the Blue Ice Octopus is the simple clean design. The main bulk of the pack is made from a single piece of cordura fabric. By reducing the number of seams Blue Ice have increased the durability and weather resistance of this pack. It also makes it look awesome, which can't be a bad thing. If you are looking for a roomy rope bag that will leave you room for all the extras then the Octopus should definitely be on your kit list.
