A

Yes I would recommend the Python. The 10mm thickness and Edelrid Thermo Shield treatment make this rope durable and easy to handle. For the price, this is a great choice for a first rope.

I brought 80m of this rope 6+ months ago. It is perfect for a beginner like me but also any climber as the rope performs really well. I have used both indoors and outdoors. I would definitely recommend this rope, great value for money and quality. I'll be buying another 50m of this rope shortly before the price increases.

Happy climbing all!

Can't believe that this rope only cost about £1 per metre. It handles great and seems to be tough. A great workhorse rope that will pretty much be front and centre of my sport climbing this year. I had always used Mammut Galaxy ropes but realised I'm a dry rock climber these days. The Python is a 'no brainer' decision if you're not going to be climbing in the wet. Suits me and I have 20 years clInning experience- so not just a 'starter' rope at all.

Brilliant rope for the price - only issue is that it tended to twist when first used. Sorted itself out now though

very good soft handling rope. Feels thin for 10mm so care needed to stop it slipping when using belay device. No doubt this will improve as furs up a bit with use.
Very pleased with purchase as previous rope (10.2mm) was difficult to feed quickly rough belay plate.
