Alpine Carbon Cork
The Black Diamond Alpine Carbon Cork is a top-of-the-line lightweight trekking pole for ounce-sensitive missions. The 100% carbon fiber shafts have been updated, with a lighter and more streamlined aluminium design. Also redesigned are the super-comfortable natural cork grips with soft touch ergonomic grip touch, and new dual FlickLock pro adjustments for total customization on the trail.
The pole also features interchangeable carbide Tech Tips, which can easily be switched out for rubber Tech Tips (sold separately) to accommodate different trail surfaces.

These poles are fantastic. They are very light yet completely sturdy. The locking mechanism is what sets these poles apart from their competitors, however, as there is absolutely no 'give' or 'slip' so you can place all of your wait over them without fear of them collapsing. I have used these for great relief after incurring a knee injury while out walking and I was able to confidently descend using them.
They were dispatched very quickly and were very well packaged, so well, in fact that after 10 minutes I had to resort to using a knife to open them. All in all, a more than satisfactory purchase!

I read the review of these on Outdoor Gear Lab (group winner) and Banana Fingers had the best price and their service is always good as well.
They arrived within a few days, and they were soon being used to help me climb Snowdon via the South ridge.
What a difference a good pair of plies make.i bought these a few months ago, before the winter and yesterday was the first time I'd used them on a strenuous walk.i loved the fact that they were so light. They supported me through river crossings, rubble and peat bogs (we live on Skye). I hate carrying things when I am walking, but I hardly knew I had them.i have some problems with balance following an ankle injury and the poles gave me confidence when crossing streams and rivers. I can definitely recommend them.

These poles are extremely lightweight, but sturdy to use. The cork handles are extremely comfortable, and after hours of walking, you still don’t feel them. These are definitely the best poles I’ve ever used.
