Superlight Rocks Set 1-6

40-RSLSET
(15)
$57.83
$69.40

With their light weight and wide range of placements the Wild Country Superlight nuts will complement any rack. Their reduced width means they will fit in places where current wider nuts won’t and grab shallow placements and pinscars securely. Because the Superlights have the same front to back shape as 'Rocks' they can be placed exactly as you would place a normal Rock.

These versatile nuts will appeal most to big wallers, Alpinists and hardcore ‘trad’ climbers more desperate than anyone else to cut down on weight. The Superlights weigh in at 3.22oz or 90grams for 6 instead of 5.72oz or 164 grams for a normal Rock 1 -6 a saving of around 45%.

awesome, sit really well in shallow placements where other things wont go at all or look really dodgy. Placing them sideways gives a really different placement option , not just slightly large but essentially the same. They end up being like an off set of the same size. This is super useful if you're fiddling with slightly dodgy stuff and saves loads of time.

They are exactly what they say and more, due to only having one wire they sit flatter in shallow or uneven placements. I myself have not incurred any issues during cleaning them from a route. You really don't notice them on your harness.

An excellent addition to my rack, should have got them years ago. They fit and hold especially well in shallow placements and the larger sizes are a great lightweight addition to an alpine rack.

Exceptional pieces of equipment! Despite their lightweight look and feel, they are really very durable. I initially bought them thinking that they would be fairly specialised pieces of equipment that I wouldn’t use regularly, but they have ended up being on my harness for every trad climb in the last 2 years! They are just like standard rocks that have been sliced in half, reducing their weight and with a loss in strength, but with a huge increase in versatility. It really is like having 2 very different placement options for each nut, one regular sized and one micro/small nut sized. These have been great for slate, limestone and peg cracks such as those found in quarries like millstone in the peak district. Whilst I don’t feel like these will replace most climbers standard set of rocks on their rack, they are a really good special addition that may get you out of trouble when you just cant find something to fit in that awkward crack! A little expensive and specialised, but for me absolutely priceless!
